The next training in the series was a longer session which covered the issues in more detail.

This session covered what policies and procedures are needed to ensure that service-users, volunteers and staff are kept safe. Specifically:

- What abuse is and who may be vulnerable to abuse.
- Reducing the risk of harm
- Spotting and reporting safeguarding concerns
- Having a system of taking further action
- Keeping safeguarding procedures effective and up-to-date.

This course comes with free templates and information sheets which you can download having signed up for the course.
