This is an Intermediate level course

This course pulls together a number of themes and looks at the policies and procedures you will need if you are working with vulnerable people. While the main one of these is Safeguarding, this course also looks at the wider range of issues you will need to address having identified the risks.

Specifically, this course covers:

  • What are the mandatory policies? What is best practice?
  • What other policies are useful to have?
  • Exercise: What are the policies and procedures you need for working with vulnerable people?
  • What is safeguarding and how is “abuse” defined?
  • Implementing policies and procedures
  • Implementing procedures
  • Templates, pro formas and other short cuts

This course is suitable for most people although you may want to have seen the prior courses before watching it (see below).
