Course Content

This is an introductory level course

It is important to understand that every organisation must think about safeguarding. The management and/or Trustees need to have a solid understanding of what abuse is, including subtle abuse such as coercive behaviour, in order to make sure that you have safeguarding policies and procedures in place.  This course will go through the forms of abuse and show you how to develop procedures to identify potential risks, take appropriate action and ensure that safeguarding is an organisation-wide concern.

Specifically we will look at:

  • Policies and procedures - what you need to have in place
  • What is abuse and safeguarding?
  • Steps to creating a safeguarding policy including how to implement procedures

This course is suitable for everyone, you do not need any prior knowledge of the topic or of policies and procedures.

PLEASE NOTE: this video contains necessary but graphic, language and contents.
