This course looks at what abuse is and how we can protect our service users, staff and volunteers.
This is an introductory level course
It is important to understand that every organisation must think about safeguarding. The management and/or Trustees need to have a solid understanding of what abuse is, including subtle abuse such as coercive behaviour, in order to make sure that you have safeguarding policies and procedures in place. This course will go through the forms of abuse and show you how to develop procedures to identify potential risks, take appropriate action and ensure that safeguarding is an organisation-wide concern.
