It is important to understand that every organisation must think about safeguarding. This conversation with Bijal Ruparelia, Director at Safeguarding Momentum, looks at what safeguarding is.
Bijal breaks down the responsibilities of protection, prevention and promotion that, together encourage a climate within the organisation where safeguarding is taken into account as a matter of course. Bijal goes on to explain why it is so important for an organisation to have good oversight of safeguarding - not least of all because it is a legal requirement.
Safeguarding Momentum specialises in supporting organisations with their requirements round safeguarding. They offer training and specialist consultancy. See here for more detail.
