This is a an introductory level course

This intensive course goes through all of the steps you need to know to begin making bids. Our experienced adviser explains how to think through each task in order to help you to the most successful outcomes. Specifically, she will look at:

Part One will cover

  • Where do you start
  • How to introduce your project
  • How to make a focused application that gets across what you do
  • What you need to have thought about and got ready before applying


Part Two will cover

  • Working as a team on fundraising
  • Identifying your community's needs
  • Making an application
  • How to write a "winning" bid - what makes a successful application
  • Defining common terms you may come across in funding guidance


This course is suitable for anyone working or volunteering with a community group, charity or social enterprise.
