Course Content

This is an Intermediate level course

Paula Bennetts is the Operations Manager at DCA and manages the team that gives front line advice and support for local organisations. She is very knowledgeable about ways of supporting staff and of building a high-quality team.

We ask Paula to consider the following questions:

  • Why do you think that supporting staff is important?
  • What are the formal ways of doing this and what do these aim to achieve?
  • What else can you do to support staff on a more day-to-day level?
  • How would you support a staff member who was in crisis?

Paula's replies cover a wide range of issues from how to manage supervision conversations to how important day-to-day contact is (especially when the team is working remotely).

This is a chatty, informal style resource rather than a presentation, based on Paula's expertise.. It is 19 minutes long.
