This session will help you to take your funding applications to the next level. It will look at how to find out about possible funding, find out about the funder and how to make sure it's appropriate for you.

The programme is as follows:

10:00 Introductions: What is your biggest fundraising challenge?

10:15 Finding funders: discussion on how you find funders to apply to

Handout: Common sources of information on funders with links will be sent after the event

10:30 Exercise 1: what do you need to know about a funder?

10:50 Techniques for researching funders - short talk

Slide pack with bullet points and links: will be sent after the event

11:00 Exercise 2: Miles of smiles - should the charity apply to these funders? Followed by discussion

11:20 Which funder is right for you; final considerations - discussion

11:30 END

After the scheduled programme, there will be time for networking and further discussion on challenges you are facing. Caro Hart, DCA's Community Training Consultant is an experienced fundraiser herself and will be happy to answer any questions.
