Course Content

The next training in the series is another longer session looking at the issues in more detail.

This month we will be looking at what it takes to manage a community space and how you can tell when you're doing it well. Good "governance" is crucial to ensuring that your Village Hall or community space prospers in these difficult times, so it's worth reviewing where things are up to to every so often. The session will cover:

- Policies & procedures
- Raising money & budgeting
- Legal, compliance and good governance
- Hire policies and procedures - especially for regular hirers
- Accessibility and inclusion
- Environment, energy & bills
- Your To Do list

We will also be touching on the ACRE Hallmark as a way of "badging" how well you manage your community space.

There will be plenty of time after the presentation for questions and discussion.

As usual, this course comes with free templates and information sheets which you can download having signed up for the course.
