DCA's Enterprise Manager, Paul Seaman, started out by getting involved in a community recording studio. What happened then as a small group of people who were passionate about music, began helping young people, is fascinating. Paul talks about how the project got into helping those with mental health issues and teaching young people skills to help them get work. They started working in partnership with some bigger organisations who recognised the value of what they were doing. He describes how the governance and management of what became a registered charity changed and developed, and how they created a social enterprise side to the work. Well worth a listen. (Please note that the quality of the recording is patchy in places.) It is 18 minutes long.
