Course content

As grassroots community groups grow, they may want to consider becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation or CIO. This can mean more funding opportunities and the chance to involve your community as Trustees and volunteers. It’s not as hard as it looks. This short session covered:

  • Why become a CIO
  • Steps you have to undertake before the application
  • Using the standard constitutions from the Charity Commission and making it your own
  • Putting an initial Trustee Board together
  • Making the application

This course is suitable for everyone – you don’t need to know anything about CIOs.

Feedback questionnaire  please note that there is a short feedback questionnaire included and we would appreciate your thoughts.
