Course Content

PLEASE NOTE: This course will take place via Teams and you will be sent the link a day before the course.

Most organisations understand why managing risk is important, but have less expertise on how to do it. Many trustees don’t realise that it is an essential part of their role. The Charity Commission lays a duty on trustees to have an up-to-date risk management plan.

This workshop will break down the main areas of risk and help you to identify your own priorities and work through how to tackle them

It will cover:

  • Identifying high risk problems
  • Understanding the consequences of not dealing with the issue
  • Working out what to do about it
  • Making a risk mitigation plan – a template
  • Next steps

By the end of the course, you will have a clear idea of how to update your risk management plan and how to do this.

This course will be useful for Trustees and anyone else who is just starting to think about managing risk at their organisation.

Feedback survey Please note that there is a short feedback survey included with this course and we would appreciate your thoughts.
