Simon Wraw, the former Chair of Dorset Community Action, knows a great deal about leading a Trustee Board. In this conversation, he looks at both best practice and draws on his own experience, to talk about decision-making as a committee on behalf of the organisation. He says some interesting thing about the responsibilities of Trustees for the decisions they make.

Specifically we asked him:

  • What do you think are the important things about the process of making a decision as a committee?
  • What do you do if arriving at consensus is difficult?
  • What would you do if you were working with a Trustee who found it difficult to speak up in the meeting, but had excellent ideas?

This video is in an informal style and is 15 minutes long.
