Conversation with Marylyn Cropley
This conversation is part of the Low Carbon Project. Marylyn Cropley, author, artist and activist talks about how to bring creativity and fun into the mix.
Marylyn, who is an artist, wellbeing practitioner and grandmother, talks about her book for children Planet Earth Needs Our Help. It is now used in schools as part of the national curriculum.
Marylyn freely admits that she came late to understanding the issues around climate change and what each of us can do, but she has made thoughtful changes to her own life. However, she discovered that the amount of information and opinions can be overwhelming. Her project is aimed at helping children and families to understand and discuss the issues.
As well as Planet Earth Needs our Help, Marylyn has produced a range of resources that are available free on her website https://planetearthneedsourhelp.com. These include colouring-in pictures and activity sheets to help children to learn about the issues.
